TECH MINISTRY
Communicating through various forms of media to enhance your connection with the story of God's love.
The Technical and Media Departments are a key part of the Church. If it weren’t for these teams of talented individuals, we would be without sound, lights, media, video and special effects…all of the things that make a service run smoothly.
Communicating through various forms of media enhance our ability to connect with people each Sunday and through the rest of the week.

The Big Picture.
This theatrical presentation at the Church on the Queensway allowed for a more intimate staging approach. The complexity of it saw us use three rear-projected screens that provided the show's backdrops. The benefit of course was having the flixbilty of digital imagery for the show.
We accomplished this look by using three separate screens hung from the lighting rig. Each screen had a designated projector that was controlled with a Matrox Triple-Head-2GO. This allowed us to treat the three screens as one unified background display that could handle animated and static imagery.
Crazy Christmas 2014.
This year we wanted to add something new to the background of our larger than life set. Something lively and engaging that would also fill in some of the negative space above our set.
We decided to hang four large ornaments that we would project onto. Projection would allow us to make the ornaments come alive and match each scene throughout the musical.
Using Corrugated Plastic for the ornaments with some bedazzled glitter we used our centre projection system to light everything up. Using a combination of Keynote, Photoshop, ProPresenter 5 and Motion we created a projection template. Next, each scene had a video created to fill each of the four ornaments with colours, bobbly figurines and disco balls.
In the end we had a lively new addition to our set and our musical.
