Do you believe in what God says in His Word? Let's face it when the troubles come, or we don't see the curveball coming, are you acting like you genuinely believe?
Life can be so easy and light at times. Everything is clear and concise and perfect until we hit a roadblock. I know only too well about being tested in this area. What area did you say? TRUST!
Whew!!! Just saying the word causes my heart to flip. You know, waiting amid a storm and not seeing the end or even if I will survive. However, God says in His Word that He will never leave us or forsake us.
"Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV
The disciples' story in the boat crossing the lake after the miracle of feeding the 5000 (Matthew 14:13-21) speaks to trust amid a storm. Imagine the storms of life overtaking you, and then you see the hand of God moving on your behalf. The issue is the doubt that creeps up. We think, "was that God or was it me." Or we are too afraid to do what God is asking because we can't see the outcome.
What makes us look to a man more than to God; when our world seems to be falling around us when the pain is so overwhelming that we crumble beneath its weight? Has the world been so faithful that we have the right to trust in it? God says to prove Him. Look to Him and see if you don't experience an outpouring of His blessings and answers.
God has never failed us. His Word is real. Let me challenge you to let go and give your fear, burden, doubt, anger, addiction, and whatever else you need to give to God and prove Him. He can make a way where there is no way (Isaiah 43:19). Do you believe it?
